20 Tips for Living a Well-Designed Life

Life can be busy, stressful, and often times chaotic but there are daily habits that can help create a more fulfilling life. What exactly is a well-designed life? While the answer can differ for each of us, living a well-designed life essentially means creating a balanced environment that promotes positivity and fulfillment. It means ridding yourself of the things that stress you out and adding in more of the things that help preserve the balance that makes you happy. Here are a few useful tips for creating a well-designed life.

 

  1. Don’t look at your phone first thing in the morning.
  2. Wake up early and do one thing every morning you enjoy such as reading or running.
  3. Never leave your dishes in the sink.
  4. Practice gratitude daily, even if it’s a small thing such as the breath you’re taking.
  5. Ask for help if you need it.
  6. Read books that teach you something new.
  7. When someone critics you or your work, don’t take it personally, instead think of it as a learning opportunity.
  8. Don’t make social media a comparison game.
  9. Stay off your phone at the dinner table.
  10. Spend time in nature.
  11. Once a day, give someone a compliment.
  12. Read one new book a month.
  13. Exercise every day, even if its a short walk outside.
  14. Stay away from drama.
  15. Be appreciative of the things you do have instead of always wanting what you don’t have.
  16. Spend money on experiences, not things.
  17. Call a friend instead of text.
  18. Choose real food over processed food.
  19. But every once in a while treat yourself.
  20. Don’t take life too seriously.
